My name is Steve Trebing. I spent many years on Fire Island (as my parents live in Ocean Bay Park) and when the timing was just right, my wife and I purchased our first fixer-upper there. We had so much fun renovating and re-designing, we jumped into two more projects. It had become a true family experience as my three kids pitched in and helped with every aspect. It’s been an amazing experience and a labor of love. It makes our family time at the beach that much more enjoyable.
Now the hard work pays off as we vacation on Fire Island every summer as well. People often ask what my favorite house is or what my favorite town is and I can’t give you a straight answer. Every town offers a unique quality as does each of my beach houses, and that is why each summer we rotate.
